Yesterday afternoon stroll

I've been listening to this song for the past month already. Saw Lord Huron played this song at Outside Lands. I'm still finding more interesting sounds from them.

One bunny on my thumb nail and the other on my ring finger nail.

Simplified bunny pendant and an owl ring.

And miscellaneous photos with natural lighting:

A project.

Outside Lands Festival 2011

Last Sunday at Outside Lands Festival was pretty tiring, but I had fun. I didn't realize that I have to hike a lot that day just to see one favorite band to another favorite band which happened to be assigned in a distant location. Next time, I'm definitely going to have to bring my comfortable rubber rain boots(yes, I prefer them over my hiking shoes). The place was definitely not as comfortable as Harmony Festival, but I do find the area to be very beautiful with loads of trees around the festival's trails. Most importantly, all the bands I wanted to watch actually performed well live, even if I wasn't able to finish some band's performances. Charles Bradley and the Menahan Street Band was pretty soulful, Lord Huron sounded very atmospheric, !!! (Chk Chk Chk) made people dance, Beirut played beautifully, and Arcade Fire was just wonderful.

So, I already posted Beirut's Elephant Gun several entries back. Well, here's their song, Penalty, for La Blogotechque. I have a few interpretations on his lyrics, but you can decide on your own. If you find yourself enjoying French art house films, Baltic folk, Eastern European and Mexican(and maybe Middle Eastern) bits infused with Americana then this band is for you.

Otherwise, this song speaks to a wide audience(at least the culture I'm most familiar of). The Suburbs is the type of song which actually reminds me of modern literature and poetry I read from most of my academic courses.
