I want to see it now!

I haven't been excited for a movie in the longest time (as much as I loved Moonrise Kingdom, my reaction wasn't as strong with its movie trailer). I'm still mind-blown with the casting in this film! Gosh, it will be a long wait until The Grand Budapest Hotel comes out. I think this will be a fun movie to watch. Tilda Swinton, Jeff Goldblum, and Edward Norton looks hysterical in their character outfits.

Last Minute Costumes for Halloween

It is eleven days until Halloween, six- seven days for early Halloween on weekends, or twelve- thirteen days for late Halloween weekends; I doubt there would be enough time for me to create a complete outfit since I will be busy for the remainder of this month. I personally wanted to go as Bee from Bee and Puppycat, Beemo from Adventure Time, or Beth from The Bravest Warriors-- but that's not going to happen this year.

The fact that I have enough clothes and accessories in my closet means I should be able to come up with several different costumes without spending money. This year, I'm planning to dress up as Link from Zelda. Like Peter Pan, Link has that androgynous look-- it's common to find ladies dressed up as him. Anyways, I think I will have fun dressing up as Link.

Last Minute Costume: Genderbending Link

These are just ideas that I gathered from Polyvore. I am aware that they're not as authentic as what cosplayers would normally wear, which is okay, because these are the "last minute costume" clothes just for a simple Halloween night. I own a simple green dress, a pair of brown boots, a belt, and a dark blonde wig-- I am nearly good to go! Now I just need a green hat and elf ears if I can find any. Feel free to borrow these ideas!

Last year's Halloween, I dressed up as my favorite witch from Studio Ghibli: Kiki. It was simple to create an over-sized bow. I added a random stuffed black cat wearing a red ribbon to portray the character, Jiji. Again, my Kiki outfit, wasn't as authentic-looking to the cartoon character from the movie. For a last minute assemble, the outfit worked well.

Last Minute Costume: Fantastic Mrs. Fox

From last year's Halloween party, I dressed up as Mrs. Fox from Fantastic Mr. Fox, Wes Anderson style inspired. I did took a little a bit of time to paint apples (clumsy-looking apples) on my marigold sweater and skirt. My boyfriend, who normally wears a brown corduroy blazer and a yellow-based plaid shirt, went as Mr. Fox. It was an effortless "couple" costume.

I spotted some ladies who went as Frida Kahlo for Halloween and I thought they wore one of the best costumes (too bad I was shy to ask for pictures). If you're an artsy person who likes to play with colors-- I'm sure a Frida Kahlo outfit isn't hard to put together. Just add vibrant colors, wear some pretty flowers, wear her signature braid, and draw an uniceja (unibrow).  Heck, Kahlo dressed stylishly well for herself-- you can get away with her look on normal days too.

Little Red Riding Hood. Here's my own version from few years ago. I guess I don't need to explain any further.
